Casual Dev Update

This week, I've been primarily working on reducing the size of the executable and planning for the weeks ahead.

This weekend, the goal is to complete the settings menu entirely and begin on finishing the player feedback components on attack and tower placements, or at the very least, implement the popups for a failed tower placement so Damon can call it from elsewhere and get a real melee animation in there without ballooning the file size.

My barriers so far have just been personal. I lost my wallet this week. Everything gets tougher when you can't buy anything and can't go anywhere. I'm hoping I just misplaced it at my job. I'll find out Monday. However, I also hate doing animation work with my whole heart and soul. I'm exaggerating. I wish I could make it myself and avoid the hassle of rig blending, but the assets we are using for the player character don't come packaged with controls or control groups, and doing it manually, the way I know how, takes hours. I would love advice on that from any knowledgeable parties.

For example: You see the little Lines and boxes on the pirate's left arm? Those are target "IK" goals (apologies, the meaning of IK escapes me). Without controls, are those the only way I can position the animations for the desired effect? I'm worried about what will happen when I try to stack other animations on top of these (like the melee I mentioned earlier). I'm really dreading spending hours tweaking these.
